As long as you choose third party lenses for their optical performance, I think you can do just fine with them. I have some Chinese made lenses for my mirrorless system that put the build quality aluminum barrels and brass helicoids of current Nikon and Canon lenses to shame. When they shape up the optical quality they will be very much worth owning and using. I'm not familiar with lens you are asking about but I'll bet it will perform right along with camera brand lenses.
Perhaps, instead of making statements, some examples, or details, would be more to the point? There are now other materials that are stronger than metal, lighter, and more suitable for some jobs. We can equate weight and heft to quality all we want, but that's a specious assocation. I'm also not sure I see any value in an opinion about something with which one has no direct experience.

MTF data is a very incomplete representation of a lens quality. It only describes sharpness, not vignetting, not distortion, not aberrations, not color-shifts, etc. It is very hard to characterize a lens, although both slrgear. The site I mentioned does all that..
